At LOFTT, we believe vintage and second-hand is community, not competition*.

That’s why we’re proud to share part one of our curated recommendations to other second-hand and vintage shops around Southern Finland. Whether you're just getting into preloved fashion or you're a seasoned treasure hunter, these destinations are full of stories, style, soul, and most importantly — amazing knowledgeable people who run them.

Let's begin.

A Small Guide to some of the Best Vintage & Second‑Hand Shops in Southern Finland, part one

Finland’s vintage and second-hand scene is thriving with new great stores opening up all the time—from Helsinki’s vibrant neighborhoods to more hidden gems in Karjaa, Tampere, and more. Here's a part one of our small guide to shops located in Southern Finland worth the visit, whether you're planning a day trip or diving into a weekend of vintage discovery:

1. Roomage & Fruit Market (Karjaa)

📍 Located under one roof at måll, Karjaa
🔗 Instagram: @roomage & @fruitmarket_fi
🌐 Web: roomage.fi & fruitmarket.fi

Of course we have to begin this list with our longtime friends, who we started LOFTT with in Karjaa. Roomage and Fruit Market are a beautifully curated double-feature located under the same roof & spot called "måll" in the Karjaa city centre on a quaint pedestrian street. Roomage offers a great selection of carefully curated vintage design furniture from the midcentury era to more modern design pieces, art, rugs, home decor… while Fruit Market is packed more with playful homeware, smaller vintage pieces, books, ceramics, collectibles, art, some clothing, and more.

Måll is a destination in its own right—perfect for a day trip, with a curated art exhibition in the summer, pop up cafes, nice scenery, and other great nearby spots in the picturesque Raseborg area.

2. Kätkö Vintage (Tampere)

📍 Tammela district, Tampere

🌐 Web: katkovintage.com

Kätkö is a small boutique true to its name (Kätkö means “hiding place”), this spot offers everything from vintage and second hand americana to denim, some design furniture pieces, and more. It's a Tampere must-visit for anyone on the lookout for carefully selected treasures.

3. K.A.S.I.N.O. (Helsinki)

📍 Historic Torikorttelit, city centre, Helsinki
🔗 Instagram: @kasino

Located in the city centre, but tucked away in the historic heart of Helsinki, in an inner courtyard at Torikorttelit, KASINO blends edgy, forward-looking style with refined vintage pieces—think workwear, americana, some GORP pieces, elevated streetwear. They also have a small selection of homeware, furniture, art pieces etc. A perfect pit stop on your city stroll. While at KASINO, grab a coffee or tea from El Fant, a nearby cafe.

4. Farkku-Sampo (Kallio, Helsinki)

📍 Fleminginkatu, Kallio, Helsinki
🔗 Instagram: @farkkusampo

A must visit for denim lovers. Farkku-Sampo—the "jeans-samurai"—carries an impressive selection of vintage and upcycled denim, from well-worn Levi’s to unique made in Finland pieces, and lots more… This is your spot for all things vintage and second-hand denim, workwear, football (soccer for the ones who call it that) jerseys etc. While in the Farkku-Sampo hoods in Kallio, check out the plethora of nice coffee shops, restaurants etc. nearby.

5. Black Spot Merch (Töölö, Helsinki)

📍 Mechelininkatu, Töölö, Helsinki
🔗 Instagram: @blackspotmerch
🌐 Web: blackspotmerch.com

Blending vintage with a love of punk, rock, and streetwear, Black Spot Merch offers vintage workwear and military garments, graphic tees, band shirts, vintage RL Polo, some statement pieces, and loads more. Good vibes all around. It’s your go-to for a shot of what's good in Töölö.

6. Tees from Hel (Online → Punavuori, Helsinki)

📍 Online now—physical store coming soon to Punavuori
🔗 Instagram: @teesfromhel

Tees from Hel is a newer entry in the game but the place for well curated vintage band tees, and more. From the classic metal band tees to 90s hip hop tees, some americana, etc. — be sure to check this place out. They know their way around single and double stitches… and they’re soon opening a physical store in Helsinki’s Punavuori. Meanwhile, follow their socials to stay in the loop.

7. Ura-Common (Viiskulma, Helsinki)

📍 A weekend space located in the back room of Common store, Viiskulma, Helsinki
🔗 Instagram: @ura_common

Located in the back room of the store Common Helsinki, and run by the great people over there, Ura-Common is a small curated store featuring a selection of second-hand and vintage pieces, mainly from Japan, but also from other parts of the world.

When visiting Ura-Common and Common, remember to check out Onigiri Musubi located across the street, the perfect spot for the best onigiri in Finland — a must stop when your physical tastebuds and your belly need some attention in the midst of some vintage hunting.

Final Thought

Finland’s vintage landscape is rich, welcoming, and full of surprises, and new great curated spots and hidden gems are popping up all the time all around the country. Whether you’re road-tripping to Karjaa, spending a day in Tampere, or meandering through Helsinki’s neighborhoods, or somewhere else around Finland, these shops aren’t just stores—they’re small worlds of style, story, and community.

Remember, this is just part one. More recommendations coming from us at LOFTT later.

*A Side Note: A nod to our dear friends at Puro Recordings for inspiration for the community over competition -ethos .
